We are Xana and Mafalda

The name Crochê com Xama is a play on words: Xa for Xana, the mother, and Ma for Mafalda, the daughter. We are a mother and daughter who love sharing crochet.

Xana learned to crochet from her grandmother many years ago and for a long time did it just as a hobby. Then Mafalda wanted to learn too, and her mother taught her. Once we realised we were actually rather good at it, we decided to take it seriously and started Crochê com Xama, our first official shop.

We make everything by hand in Gondomar, with lots of love and care. That’s why every piece is one of a kind: even when we repeat a design, the result is never exactly the same.

How we work

• Every piece is made by us from start to finish.
• Before we start an order, we agree on colours, size, timing and price with you.
• We reply in person, on WhatsApp or by email.
